biography
Pianist, producer, composer, and arranger Shelly Berg is a multi-Grammy nominee and Steinway piano artist whose latest jazz trio album “Alegría” ("joy” in Spanish), reflects an arc of universal emotions woven in rich musical tapestry.
Creatively supported by Grammy-winning bassist Carlitos Del Puerto and Grammy-winning drummer Dafnis Prieto, the “Alegría” album is praised as an “instant jazz classic” (Modern Drummer) and hailed for its approachable “landscapes of love, joy, and reflection” (All About Jazz).
A treasured musician known for his deep artistry, Shelly Berg has arranged, orchestrated and recorded with international superstars Gloria Estefan, Arturo Sandoval, Pharrell, Yoshiki, and Steve Miller, to name a few.
Carlitos Del Puerto toured and recorded with the late Chick Corea and more recently with Bad Bunny, and Dafnis Prieto is an award-winning composer and bandleader who received a MacArthur genius grant in performance and composition for his work in Afro-Cuban jazz.
